Business Process Management
Ovations has been leading the way in Business Process Management (BPM) and the improvement of organisations’ business processes for over ten years.
Ovations has delivered value to many leading companies through BPM implementations, including standardising and improving existing processes and improving efficiencies through process automation.
Ovations takes BPM to the next level by consulting and implementing not only traditional BPM to assist companies in becoming more competitive and flexible, but also in dynamic BPM, which ensures that companies have the ability to respond and adapt to change very quickly and acquire high management visibility.
Ovations is a leader in BPM consulting services and has won the overall prize for BPM in two consecutive South African BPM Awards – in 2008 at the BPM Congress Excellence Awards and in 2009 at the ITWeb BPM Excellence Awards.
The Ovations approach to BPM is business-driven rather than IT-driven and involves not only the automation but also the re-engineering of processes to make companies more efficient.
We take a holistic view when approaching BPM projects, encompassing process and technology as well as the role of people in successful BPM implementations.
Our BPM methodology involves identifying the organisation’s business objectives and associated processes, assessing organisational capabilities and process maturity levels, assigning accountability and responsibility for processes, measuring process performance, creating high-performance process designs, implementing new process designs, aligning common objectives around processes, changing the approach to work and ultimately improving process performance.
Specific Business Process Management offerings include:
BPM maturity assessments: Perform assessment on BPM maturity from organisation (leadership, ownership, culture, expertise, governance) and process (design, performance, ownership, metrics, infrastructure) perspectives
BPM strategy development: Assist our client to determine the future direction of BPM within the organisation, i.e. the extent of process centricity, process ownership & governance, use of process management techniques and process automation, design and implementation of Centres of Excellence, skills development etc
Process engineering: Perform identification and mapping of current processes, design future processes, optimise processes and perform gap analysis which is used to plan implementation strategies and roadmaps. Process designs are done using concepts such as re-engineering, simulation, lean 6-sigma
Implementation Business Process Management Suites (BPMS): We have partnerships with leading software vendors and assist with the design, modelling, implementation and roll-out of these solutions. We follow a Service Orientated Architecture approach to the design and implementation of these solutions to ensure robust and agile solutions
